With the incredible daily run-up over such a short period of time, this countertrend presented itself Thursday before Tokyo opened their Friday Session. The setup was risky going against many of my rules. But rules are meant to be broken, right? Well not really in futures trading but with my total arsenal of tools I went short at 75420. Ironically I entered an even better entry but missed it as momentum picked up. I posted it up on https://twitter.com/TraderDick1 almost immediately. Pulled the stop loss right down tight to protect both positions and got clipped later. No complaints!
Then of course the following morning (Friday) I didn’t have the good sense to stand aside and count my winnings. Went long during sideways action and gave back roughly $50. including commissions against this BIG win. Cut those losses quick to play another day.
